My selections represent me as a reader. Romance is the house I reside in and Black Indie authors like Christina C. Jones, Miss Candice and Natasha Bishop have written some of my favorite stories.

Curvy Girl Summer was one of my most anticipated reads of  2024 and Danielle Allen, who I met as an Indie author, absolutely delivered in her traditional debut. I felt so seen as a fat Black woman dealing with the dating scene in 2024. If you’re like me and looking to branch out, maybe try something a little different, I think what Terry J. Benton-Walker is doing with his Blood Debts series is……magical. His portrayal of New Orleans and the details of the magic system and the history is just, for a lack of better words, EVERYTHING!!
